Would adding a utility bill to a credit report help boost the score?

I was wondering, if I add a utility bill such as water or gas to a credit report if it will boost a credit score assuming the payment history was prefect.

A local utility company does not typically report to the Credit Bureau. unless you have gone into default then they report you are late and have not cleared the balance

Some utility companies do report however with the becon and fico scoring systems they do not nake up high precentage of you rating. should they reprot it does allow other companies a chance to see your payment history ( could be considered a gateway creditor )

Utility companies do not report to the credit bureaus. You are expected to pay on time, or your service will be shut off.
