Why can%26#039;t I get a FREE credit report without entering a credit card name, number, or type?

Because they%26#039;re not free. They want you to sign up for a service to monitor your credit. Each credit bureau is required to give you one free credit report a year. You have to get a hold of them to get it. NOT the %26quot;free%26quot; credit agencies.

Nothin is free anymore.. however, if you give a creditor permission to your credit report- by law they have to give you a copy... there%26#039;s your free copy- but the catch- it looks bad on your credit report if too many creditors are looking at it..

Why can%26#039;t I get a FREE credit report without entering a credit card name, number, or type?

Because in order to get %26quot;free credit report%26quot; you have to sign up. You%26#039;ll get your initial report and then you%26#039;ll be charged to join a group. According to the laws you get one free report a year and have to pay for the rest, which really sucks because it%26#039;s YOUR info and you shouldn%26#039;t have to pay for it. By the way did you know that every time someone checks your credit it knocks down your credit score a little?
