Have you ever gotten a "FREE" credit report?

We have all seen the ads for %26quot;FREE CREDIT REPORT ONLINE%26quot;,Has anyone ever gotten one free?I%26#039;ve tried all their links, only to be told my info is not available.Yet when I joined their triple advantage program,It was available,hmm...what do you think.I think it is deceptive and false advertisement.

Have you ever gotten a %26quot;FREE%26quot; credit report?

Yes, I have but not from the website advertised on t.v.

FreeCreditReport.com and the like, offer %26#039;free credit reports%26#039; but only after you sign up for their monitoring services. They give you a 30-day free trial but will charge a monthly fee if you don%26#039;t cancel. And from what I%26#039;ve heard, it%26#039;s very difficult to do that.

If you really want a free credit report, go to AnnualCreditReport.com. ACR is the only government approved site to receive your free credit reports. 100% Free, no credit card or registration for services required.

Under the FACT Act, you%26#039;re allowed one free report per bureau, once every 12 months.

Have you ever gotten a %26quot;FREE%26quot; credit report?

Absolutely you%26#039;re right. Try annualcreditreport.com, that%26#039;s the gov%26#039;t website that allows you to look at each bureaus report once a year. It doesn%26#039;t give your score, but it does show what you have for each account or if there%26#039;s any strange activity.

Have you ever gotten a %26quot;FREE%26quot; credit report?

Yes it is deceptive. The only truly free credit report site is www.annualcreditreport.com, set up by the three credit bureaus to comply with the law.

Have you ever gotten a %26quot;FREE%26quot; credit report?

you should go to annualcreditreport.com you get one from all three agencies once a year for FREE do not pay

Have you ever gotten a %26quot;FREE%26quot; credit report?

I get a free credit report every four months. You are entitled to one each year from each of the three credit reporting agencies: Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax. I rotate the request among them three times a year. You get the reports at

https://www.annualcreditreport.com

If you go directly to the reporting agencies%26#039; sites, they will sell you the report. Also they want to sell your credit score. It is not included with your free annual report, but you don%26#039;t need the score.

Have you ever gotten a %26quot;FREE%26quot; credit report?

Yes, I have. They are available at different times of the year for different parts of the United States. For example, Pennsylvania residents can get a free credit report every September. If you need one at another time of the year, you will have to pay for it.

Another way is to call one of the agencies (transunion, etc) and tell them to put a fraud alert on your account. You can do it online, also. This does 3 things...stops preapproved crap coming in the mail, gets you protected from id theft for 90 days (they call you before giving new credit) and you get 2 copies of your full report (one now, another whenever you want in the next year).

Have fun.

Have you ever gotten a %26quot;FREE%26quot; credit report?
